In HOSTAGE the Danish actor Morten Nielsen turns into Samir, a young Pakistani who is forced into giving up his long-lasting relationship with his Danish girlfriend Sally because his parents want him to marry an unknown Pakistani woman. Sally doesn’t give up. She follows Samir and tries to convince him to resist his parents’ will only this one time. She wins the battle and the couple manages to escape from this situation by running away together. Morten Nielsen will hold exclusively for the NORDWIND Festival 2011 a lecture that provides us with an insight into his working methods. The lecture presents HOSTAGE, a co-production with the Holbaek Teater. He will tell us the story by sound, video and performance and also share his long term experience with the character of Samir.
