HUNDE – Reichtum ist die Kotze des Glücks

Castorf/Kyniker

In Athens a gang, on the edge of society, is roaming the streets, called the Dogs: eccentric, original, provocative, daring and also pesky characters in coats. Consequently, they are following an ideal. With all means at their disposal they are seeking to attain their goal and persuade their fellow men to rethink! The money, the power and material possession are overrated, they say! The gang goes from house to house and lectures without lecturing and manifesto the poor rich about the sense of (a happier) life: “So as im coming along the way, as you see mee: dirty, ragged, wrapped in a cowl, long-haired, bare-foot, but you dress like toy boys and distinguisch yourselves from one another neither by the colour of your clothes, nor by the abundance of your undergarments, your shoes, your fancy hairstyles, your scent. Because you already smell like those, you luckiest among the mortal!” (Lucian)
