Kristian Smeds - 12Karamasows

Love, death, passion, religion, guilt, good versus evil. Inspired by »The Brothers of Karamazow«, Kristian Smeds and his fierce Estonian performers of the next generation go deep down and far beyond the massive themes of Dostojevsky‘s novel. In search of the Russian soul and the essence of the human kind the 12 Karamazovian spirits transform the stage into a powerful scenic rock concert. Wake up Dostojevsky - here come the 12KARAMAZOWS!

Kristian Smed is the internationally most acknowledged Finnish theatre director. His energetic and unique theatre language has gained recognition across Europe in the past couple of years, e.g. in Belgium, France, Germany, Austria and in the Baltic States. In spring 2011 he received the XII Europe Theatre Prize for New Theatrical Realities.
